elkoholic Posted September 30, 2014 Share Posted September 30, 2014 I have an older aqua view that has a video out port on it, so i thought if i got a cable that would convert from video to usb i would b able to view the camera on my samsung tablet......I got the cable today and was excited to try it and it didn't work! However, you can usually get input functionality via root. The problem would be getting an android driver for your particular USB video input device, which would be unlikely. On the other hand, almost all windows 8 tablets support input from the USB if you get a usb "on the go" cable to connect your usb/video input device you should be OK. I run a USB 'magicjack' and also a USB thumbdrive and a USB mouse into my Dell Venue Prop 8 tablet with no problems whatsoever. If you want the best support for input devices on USB and also drivers for those USB video input cables, you will want to go with a windows 8 tablet.
