chasineyes
Hello, I have a 8 year old Hunter Controller that crapped out. I think the power surge with lightning last week did it in. I'm wondering can I replace it with a Orbit or Rain Bird or Toro controller? Or does it need to be another hunter??Thanks!!!
LwnmwnMan2
As long as you have a standard Hunter controller on a fairly standard home system, you should be able to move to a different brand.Peronally I would stick with Hunter, but that's just me (and most irrigation contractors I know). Powerstroke
How many zones do you have on your current system? I quickly found that most of the big box brands only handle up to 6 zones. Im in the market for a new controller too, but at the price for the a controller that handles 8 zones, I'll wait till my old mechanical rotary controller dies.
