fishyspringer
Hi Guys,I am working on my first fish woodcarving. It will be a decoy more less, but just for decoration. I saw on here a long time ago a post about attaching metal fins to decoys with a wood burning pen. I cant find that post. I am wondering what type of tip you use to burn a slot in the wood for the fins? Where can I get this and also what type/size of wood burning pen do you use? Also what type of glue? Thanks for your help!
Laska
If it's just for show 5 min epoxy will work fine. Use a Dremel diamond disc to cut fin slots. Menards or fleet farm has then for sure. If your going the wood burning route check out Hummul dot com for all the wood burning needs you have.

Jdawg sk1
What do you do if you are making it for more than show
jasonmichalski
Depending on the style of working decoy I try to lead them in, but I some times use small screws or pin them with wire then epoxy
