vexilar t pod

Hows the quality and performance of the t pod from vexilar. Is it good enoigh to mark fish like every other quality fish finder. Plus would I get in trouble for castin out a rod for like cats and having it sit then casting out the t pod? Is that considered 2 lines in the water? Thinking of getting a t pod for bank fishing for cats and carp to read structure and see whats underwater while fishing.

only considered a line if you have a hook on it. You can certainly have this out with another rod.

I see the Navoinics iPad app has a combo map/sonar now using the Vexlar t-pod, or transducer. To bad you can't see the screen in the daylight.
