Was fishing with my brother yesterday. He has a 6 yr. old bow mount 50 or 55LB 12 volt Minnkota. It was running fine and then all of a sudden just quit. He thought maybe the circuit breaker kicked in due to weeds. Cleared the weeds(not many weeds on it) and hit the reset and it worked for a short time and did this same thing a few more times and then did not want to restart so we left it. Had a brand new Interstate, fully charged battery for it. Any ideas? Could the reset device be defective? Oh yeah, he said the power cord for the motor that plugs into the receptacle on the boat seemed unusually hot when this would happen. Could a crack in that wire cable do that? Neither of us is an electrician or electrical technician or engineer so I told him I would ask those in the know on HSO, since somebody usually has the answer. Thanks for any input.

Nice to finally meet you tonight. Make sure you tell me who you are again next time you come in. I will probably forget.
Let me know when you are dropping in again and I'll make sure we have more of those beverages around!
This northern boy needs a little help with this one.
Dried up kill hole in the duck timber?
Quicksand that all the deer fell into?
Cool lighting in a forest that’s so different from ours?
I’ve never been in the AR woods before but you’ve arrived by the looks of it.
Good luck.
