2000 silverado 2500 brake lines

Recommended Posts

I have a leaking brake line going to the back of the truck from the ABS block. Anybody have any tips for getting those things off? I can get the wrench on the fitting, but with the torsion bar, cross member etc where it is in proximity to the ABS there is no room to turn the wrench?

I am not 100% positive, but I can't see a worse place to put that thing. Move it back a foot or so or even forward and you have clear sailing.

Well there is/was a line that sprung a leak just off the ABS block. I wound up cutting the line with a hacksaw so I could get a socket and ratchet on it to get it out.

Getting it all back together is going to miserable. At this point not sure how I am going to get it tight enough. Just no room for a wrench.
