itasca state park

thinking about going in early Sep. Haven't been there since I was a kid. Looking for advice on which sites will be close to the lake, river, ect. We will be using our ice castle rv unit so we will want elec. thanks in advance.

The bear claw campground is right on Lake Itasca. I have never stayed in that campground. The Pineridge campground is on the other side of the road. The first couple of loops are more RV orientated. The bike path to the lake is connected to these loops as well.

None of the campgrounds are "close" to the river.

The bike paths are under construction but they where open from the campground to the headwaters when we where up there last week.
