New MN Trout Regs

That link takes you to the "rule change" page which contains links to the actual legal language that will be effective 7/14.

*Bring all designated trout streams in southeast Minnesota into the current winter season ("new catch-and-release season").

*Allow angling (catch-and-release) on designated trout streams in SE MN State Parks ("state park season") from October 15th to December 31st.

*Extend the current SE MN fall catch-and-release season to October 15th.

Bout time... no more pink lines!

The early trout season in MN only had a few of the trout streams open for CnR, the rest were closed. The streams open for early CnR were pink on the map SE MN Trout maps. Lots of us anglers simply refer to these as pink lines.

Awwwwww jeeze! I thought maybe Pink Lines were something new from Orvis for the soccer mom who has everything. A Pink Line perhaps with a nice pair of Puce waders and a mauve vest?
