My recommendation is go to a store that has map chips on display and check out your favorite lakes and features. in fact, you can check out Navionic's maps right here on the web for free!

Som chips are upgradeable like Navionics and Lowrance Insight where you can upload user data or your own if you are into that.

I think unless you buy an older LakeMaster chip, that's out the window now but the Lowrance Insight started out with the same lakemaster data so you arte good there.

Personally, I would buy both.
