good fishing?

A buddy and I are trying to find a place to go fishing for the weekend. We are by Marshall, mn. We would like to stay within about 3 hours of there. We don't have a boat so we are looking for shore spots on a lake or river. I know people do not want to give out there spots but any ideas would be great. PM me if you would like.

You might want to consider Del Clark and Lake Sylvanin Canby. Both Lakes are surrounded by parks. I haven't fished there since about 2001, but both lakes could be really good. Sylvan is just a wee little lake; The inlet and below the dam are the high percentage spots.

The other area I would suggest is below the Dam and the three bridges at Laq Qui Parle.

Thanks for the reply. We live about 20 miles from canby. We've fish there a bit and its been pretty slow as with most area lakes without a . We are looking to take a little bit of a trip to try something new. Right now we are looking at heading to yankton sd. For the weekend. My buddy went there with a friend of his a year ago and knows a couple spots. The local bait shop has a decent report for fishing on the river. We are still looking for ideas tho.
