24 volt trolling motor question

Hi! Any chance somebody can post a diagram of hooking up two batterys to power a 24 volt trolling motor. Not sure if mine is right or not. Also is there any way to test the trolling motor to see if it's running right? Thanks.

TM positive to battery one +

TM negative to battery two -

Jump open negative battery one to open positive battery two

thanks. i have mine wired right i guess , but last year if i had trolling motor going the opposite way to battery it ran the opposite way on the throttle handle and this year it runs the same way either way. does that make any sense?doesnt seem to have the same power. batterys were new last year.

You can easily ruin a battery in a year with improper maintenance.

That's a funny diagram of a circuit breaker...correct on the wiring but a circuit breaker doesn't have a + and - pole.

Minnkota shows + and - poles for their 60A breaker installation.
