Neighbor_guy
There were several advertisers in last weeks Outdoor News talking spearing rentals, and if I remember correctly there was one or two in the Darkhouse paper too..,But I couldn't tell you names... I wasn't paying close enough attention.

jvm1
I saw the add on the list of craig, our hunting shack is closer to the Malmo side so I think I might call some resorts in that area and ask. After ordering a new spear and a couple new decoys I cannot wait to cut the first hole this winter!

jvm1
He's added wood handles for his spears now too, they look great in pictures. I can search my emails if you guys would like to take a look at them, I don't think he would mind if I shared.

jvm1
I'm failing miserably at adding the image so click this link Handles pic In 9tine's own words:One has 1/8 inch ribbing on the handle, and the other one has ¼ inch ribbing. The wood is coated with an epoxy coating that is used to seal and coat rod windings on high end fishing rods. It’s good stuff. The third handle is walnut with full length 1/8 inch ribbing. The other 2 are bubinga wood.
Neighbor_guy
Lathe work like that had to take a lot of time. I can't imagine how many he turned before he was happy with the results.
Jessie_H
Pretty excited to spear Mille Lacs this year, my father in laws cabin is not too far from Isle Bay. Close enough to take load everything and take the snowmobile to the lake. Can't wait!!
mrklean
Judging by some of the launches that are targeting pike out there anyone who thinks spearing is going to have a major effect and is going to hurt the trophy potential is dead wrong. Looks like lots of 35"+ fish being taken lately from launches including some pig muskies.
