fishnowworknever
What is the nut called on the tilt tube of an outboard where the steering cable slides through on the far end...usually has a nylon or rubber washer of some sort to keep dirt/water etc out of the tilt tube/steering cable assembly when turning the motor.I cannot for the life of me find the name or part.1989 90HP yamaha ETLFthanks
Ufatz
Can't you go to Yamaha site, find the outboard model and look at manual, which usually has a break-out of parts and assemblies? I'd try that first thing. Unless you happen to find a Yamaha mechanic in here who knows those things inside out it might be tough to learn the proper name here.Try the site....then come back.
