Odd Nesting Spot

This goose nested in the parking lot at Costco. They mulched right up to her while she was sitting on her eggs. A week later she hatched three babies. Must have been nerve-racking on the weekends when people were parking all around her.

That's awesome. When I worked at Gander Mountain in Maple Grove as a high schooler, there was a hen mallard that nested in the shrubs directly next to the front entrance. Most folks never noticed her because she was pretty well hidden.

There's a goose that is nesting right off the freeway in Moorhead now. She's in the grass of a clover-leaf exit ramp. Good luck there!
