Holland Lake question

Anyone know what the best way to catch trout there is? I know it's a week after opener, and that might mean there won't be any trout left in there. But I'm willing to be there's gotta be some big rainbows or browns in there. Also plan to fish for pike if there aren't any trout.

I think a sucker swimming under a bobber for a few hours will give you more action than fishing for trout. If your hearts stuck on it then the pier is one of your only options. You're going to have a hard time keeping the sunnies off. I'm sure there's plenty left but don't expect much size, it's a deeper lake but I don't think the survival rate is good. Sorry to seem like a downer but I haven't had much luck out there.

I think the trout that are stocked are mostly for ice fishing, as I've read the deeper water in holland doesn't have enough oxygen for trout.
