What we usually do when a customer says they want a good and inexpensive floor job, is figure out what they want done, and how much they'd like to spend and then sit down and figure out a game plan with them to try to get them as close to that target as possible

Whatever you do, don't put carpet back in there if at all possible. Or at least do a snap-in / removable carpet setup.

The deck of a boat isn't a place where you want to skimp out and go cheap.

I can't comment on a specific repair shop, but make sure to check out some other options like a non skid surface. I used tuff coat on mine and love being able to spray it down with a garden hose
