charts I've seen all show around 4.3 lbs. for 19" and 5 lbs. for 20". I've found this to be a little generous though - 19" here is normally closer to 4 lbs. and 20" would typically be 4.5ish..

That's a nice fish any way you look at it... a lot of guys will tell you that a 20" is 5 lbs, that would be close.

If you get a girth measurement, you can get a much more accurate estimation on weight.

I caught a preseason bass with a big gut(fishing eyes) that went 19" and 4 pounds. I imagine a bass an inch bigger without the eggs would sit somewhere around that weight as well. Nice fish! I've yet to get one over 17 since the opener.

I caught the bass before season too on a crappie minnow. It didnt fight much because all it did was go deep and kinda sit there. I wish that i could catch him again and have him fight. it is the biggest bass i have ever caught and the biggest i have ever seen caught and probably the biggest i will ever catch, in minnesota. I dont really catch many bass because i usuallly fish northern.
