lowrance x-4 pro any good?

i found this one on sale for 85 bucks. i was ready to pull the trigger but lots of reviews of good or never picks up fish. any advice. had one on another post say another one was good but that store is no where near me thanks

lowrance elite 4x color finder it is a color one got for $140 more than i wanted but my thoughts sre it may be a better unit and aandured suggested it thanks

I see Dick's Sporting Goods had the Lowrance Elite 4X on sale last week for $99. Now it's back up to $130 on their HSOforum.

I'm thinking of getting one for my parent's pontoon. I don't really care if it marks fish all that well, I just want to know what depth I'm at. They have a cabin on a small, 250-acre lake, so I usually have general sense of what depth I'm fishing at. But I'd like to be more specific, and I'd like to look for some breaks and structure to try during the winter.
