water pipe humming

In the past 3 weeks we are hearing a loud humming in the water pipe to the shower head in the master bath. If we run water into the tub from the main faucet it's fine, run any other faucets, dishwasher, washing machine, flush toilets ect. fine. The only humming is when we use that shower.

Any ideas to the cause and solution to the problem? Thanks.

Depending on brand and model you'll want to rebuild or replace the cartridge in the faucet handle.

If the cartridge doesn't fix it check the tub spout, the "trap door"(the part you pull up to get water to the shower) can sometimes start to vibrate if worn out. That will require replacement of the spout

i would look to and see if there is a ristricter plate in the shower head also. under certian pressure and such ive sean them make noise
