11 yo granddaughter wants to shoot

So I have three grandkids who want to start archery, which is awesome! I have the little "toy" bows (Bear Scout Kit, and a PSE Snake recurve) at the cabin that they have shot, but that is about it.

The 11 yo wants to shoot a recurve because that is what the Hunger Games girl shoots wink So I am not 100% sure how real their desire is, but I want to foster it as far as it will go! But without spending needlessly...

So in looking at all the "cheap stuff" it looks like the Barnett Vortex gets some decent reviews, and is a bit more than a birthday present price (with some add-ons), but close - and her birthday is coming up. Do any of you have thoughts on that bow (package) for a beginner? I wast thinking of adding a whisker bisket and maybe a junior release?...

DonBo, you will be seeing me at Chilakoot soon (with some future members...), maybe the best is for me to join up and then bring her to test out the kids bows you have there?

Heck, I am new to this, and excited that the grandkids are now interested smile 4 of 5 so far "want" to take it up, but we will see how/if I can keep them interested! Thanks for thoughts.

Come out to our shoot on the 13th and we'll let them try our stuff, no problem.
