Bonus bucks in the southern farmland region (basically the southern 1/3 or so) will be a blast for guys in those areas....for about 3-5 years. Then, the buck age structure there will be very much like what most of us in MN have...very few bucks over 1.5

That said, it is probably a wise, science based decision. Bucks over 1.5 have the highest incidence of CWD and are therefore the most likely vectors of spreading the disease.

Sad to see for a guy who hunted that part of WI for many decades...but...good science (or the best currently available anyway)
