electric shock/training collar

Can you guys help me pick one out?? I want one with a tone only button and a wide range of settings. I bought one and its dump. Sending it back. The tone it makes is so quiet you can hardly hear it, my dog sure does not and she's young. Want one with a loud tone. Does anybody make such a collar?

Some of the guys might have suggestions for ya Pete, but best thing might be that you read up on the uses of this type collar and research the various models that are out there. There are some very well made, durable and finely tuned units available.

Take your time, learn more and do some surfin' and you'll come out okay.

Some guys are able to use them judiciously and get great benefit from them; other people aren't big fans of the devices.

Iv'e had a shock collar for years, just not one with a tone. Really want one with a tone that even I can hear.

Here's how I see it dogs hear really well to start with and if it's loud enough for you to hear it it's too loud for them, why do you want or need to hear it??

Dogtra makes a real good one, mine has 3 different tone levels and it's loud, has settings to beep on point or while running, and 165 shock settings on a pot. I have them on both my shorthairs use the beep functions all the time.
