That would be awesome if it did turn out to be that (90%) effective. If it does turn out to be a good control method I hope that it doesn't take 10yrs before it is allowed to be used.I would think that there would have to be more than a few trials to be sure it didn't harm anything else in the lake.Zeebs were just found in the last year on the lake where we spend our summers.

I didn't think about that. eek I'm sure there are many issues, some known & some yet to be discovered, involved in trying to find a means to control any/all of the AIS.One that I just made aware of is how they effect the bait business.I recently visited the HSOforum of my favorite baitshop in our area(Fred's Bait in Deer River) & discovered the owner asking for our help.He wanted us to contact the DNR along with legislature about the new regs imposed on people who net/trap minnows.I'm not sure but I think a big part of his business is selling, both wholesale & retail,of shiners out of Winni. He made it sound as if the new regs could eliminate that side of his business & he might be forced to close. What he was the most PO about is that someone had proven that there was a way to safely keep harvesting the shiners but no one on the state level would even listen to them.I encourage everybody to visit their HSOforum & read his story.
