First migrators of the year on the aerator hole on Lake Okabena in Worthington. A handful of divers and honkers yesterday and more honkers and a few specks today. They will be heading back south tomorrow I'm afraid.

They picked the wrong winter to come early. Heard some robins at home today. All in for a rude awakening next week with subzero nights again.

Hundreds of mallards here in the NE metro all winter long. They fly morning and evening to the local bird feeders.
