nofishfisherman
Fishing Red lake isn't rocket science.Put a plain red hook on one line with either a shiner or fathead and wait. While you wait jig another rod with a minnow head. My best colors have been various glow jigs with white and red being best. Gold has also done alright for me.You'll start to figure out if the deadstick/rattle reel is the best bet (often times it is). If it is then deadstick both lines and kick back and wait.If you are bringing portables try to find some unfished areas where you can be by yourself. Might be easier said then done with the snow cover. Just keep moving to find active fish.

nofishfisherman
Get a bottom bunk. Just make sure its not below the guy who ate the most chili for dinner. That heavy air he's producing is going to sink. Best to be up and out of the kill zone.
