Lusid
I'm scared to go fishing with the large amounts of snow.. I might have to just tow it in via foot power now.Who has been stuck this year while driving out?

FishinFools
ok, well this was on Devil's Lake two weeks ago, not MN but...lost an entire afternoon of a three day trip.Excuse list:1) not my truck, borrowed a buddy's to go into town to get a prescription for my son,2) casino plowed a main loop with some spurs a week earlier. the loop continued to be plowed, the spurs had banks on both sides and drifted in then filled in and crusted over,3) flat light, couldn't see anything,4) had a small, empty utility trailer on the hitch5) was in someone else's tracks (apparently going A LOT faster than I was)Got stuck on the way off the lake, had another buddy come pull me out after I couldn't dig myself out.Got stuck getting back on the lake. Couldn't dig myself out. had to call the same buddy to rescue me. HE got stuck. had to dig him out, then dig me out.Total time: 3 hours. (worse is that I wasted someone else's fishing time, too)Lesson: Son needs to be a bit closer to death before you leave prime fishing time to get him meds (strep test came back positive after being told he didn't have strep before we left on the trip), don't drive on Devil's Lake, in someone else's truck, while towing a trailer, in flat light, and hidden plow banks, and hard packed drifts. Thank God for cell phones and friends with big trucks (and shovels) and tow straps nearby!Needless to say, I was not allowed to drive the rest of the trip. All is well that ends well!
