Seasonal - Winter Usage

Anybody have experience using their RV / Camper / Park model trailer in the winter? Any pros/cons or tips?

I used my '02 Breckenridge park model last winter a couple times, but in more mild weather. Wondering if the heater would even keep up in this sub zero

It just depend son what you mean by "keep up".

There are lots of campers used in the winter that function as fishhouses and people do just fine. If your camper wasn't designed with storm windows and decent insulation than you may be fighting an uphill battle, but if its got 4 walls and a roof any furnace should keep up. You will easily maintain 60* in the camper although you may want to monitor your propane supply.

I've used my camper in temps in the teens and been plenty comfortable. I would have no problem facing temps this cold.

That being said, my caution to anyone who ventures to stay somewhere other than their home this time of year is to always have sleeping supplies that will protect you even if the heat goes out. That means no matter how much heat I think I may have, I always have a sleeping bag and clothing that matches the temps I will face.
