walleyefreak33
looking for some input from folks with yetti fish house looking at buying a 8x16 toy hauler i will be hauling a 500 ranger mid size and i went and talked to the sales guy and we measured the door and it will fit but my concern is that with a 4500# gvwr and the house weighing in at 3200# and my ranger is 1100# it is getting close to max out for weight the salesman says no problem it can handle it but i will be taking it to blackhills atving and atving around mn so was just wondering if anyone else is using theres for hauling and if they have had any issues thanks for you input. might be going with an 8x20 toy hauler with hydro frame then there is no issue but really like the yetti
Redlineracer12
3200# must be fully finished weight? I just have a finished little 6.5x12 with the double doors in back, but I put my 650# wheeler and a whole bunch of other gear (generator, auger, suitcases, etc) and I bet it's pretty close to GVW (2990lbs). It actually trailers really good loaded in my opinion. I don't know if I would fully trust what a salesman says. They are trying to make a sale most of the time. I think if it was a good dealer they should let you put the ranger in there and try it out.
brian6715
The unfinished weight of an 8x16 is 2240 lbs, so you must be talking finished. I have never heard what an average finished Yetti weighs, but that would be my starting point in finding out. Maybe they will let you weigh one before you buy it? Fishalittle
Seen some big bite tandems online that looked pretty good....other than a little on the spendy side. Look similar to yeti aslo....It has really surprised me that yeti hasn't gotten on board with a tandem axle version yet. Seems like bigger houses are becoming a lot more popular...
