Hey guys I am helping my sister with a project by answering a few questions. She is looking for some other fishermen to answer and I thought this would be a great place to get some help. So if you could answer some questions it would be a lot of help. Just number your answers with the questions if you don't want to answer them all. Thanks for all your help.

1. How often do you fish?

2. Who do you usually fish with?

3.Who taught you how to fish? How long?

4. What's your favorite thing about fishing?

5. While fishing, do you switch baits often to find out which lure or lure action will turn on a bite?

6. Do you believe having a variety of baits in your tackle box that create different kinds of action in the water is important to having more success catching fishing?

7. Do you get more "satisfaction" from dropping in on a spot and nailing the fish right away Or do you get more satisfaction from using a variety of baits and finding just the right one to coax the fish into biting?

8. Do you think that a bait that has more action in the water will create more fish in the boat?

9. What was the last crank bait you purchased and why? (Color, action, brand, heard it was catching fish)

10. Do you have a "catch phrase" when you get a fish on? Like "Oh yea" or "fish on"-- anything crazier than that?

11. What do you think of when I say this line?--"Fisherman could always use a little more action."

12. What social media do you use?

13. Do you actually share information/pictures/video or are you more of a listener?

14. Where do you go for information about the lures (or just equipment?) that you buy? What influences your purchase most?

15. Are there any magazines that you read somewhat faithfully?

1. How often do you fish?

I fish approx. 100+ days in open water approx. 60+ on the ice.

2. Who do you usually fish with?

Open water - 20 with my partner - 20 with family - the rest alone

Ice - 20 with family - the rest alone

3.Who taught you how to fish? How long?

My grandfather starting taking me when I was 3. I also worked as a dock boy for 3 years when I was 12,13,and 14. I learned many things talking to other fisherman young and old. Since, the internet I spend many hours searching for new ideas.

4. What's your favorite thing about fishing?

Being on the water or ice. Have fun with family and the relaxing quiet of solitude. Catching fish is a bonus.

5. While fishing, do you switch baits often to find out which lure or lure action will turn on a bite?

I have favorite go to lures, but switch often sometimes.

6. Do you believe having a variety of baits in your tackle box that create different kinds of action in the water is important to having more success catching fishing?

I fish for everything in the lakes. I have numerous set ups for each species and the tackle shops love to see me walk in. I set up my tackle by species and always try to have everything "I" think will be needed.

7. Do you get more "satisfaction" from dropping in on a spot and nailing the fish right away Or do you get more satisfaction from using a variety of baits and finding just the right one to coax the fish into biting?

My 1st goal is to have fun. I love the challenge of finding the fish and trying to guess what they will bite on any given day or condition.

8. Do you think that a bait that has more action in the water will create more fish in the boat?

Sometimes - but I think lure choice, color, size makes a difference.

Lazy fishing live bait is very relaxing.

9. What was the last crank bait you purchased and why? (Color, action, brand, heard it was catching fish)

I love the Rapala Shap Rap for walleyes - can't even tell you how many I have, but it's lots.

10. Do you have a "catch phrase" when you get a fish on? Like "Oh yea" or "fish on"-- anything crazier than that?

If I am with someone yes - it's usually just get the net.

11. What do you think of when I say this line?--"Fisherman could always use a little more action."

My mind wonders, but my answer might be R rated.

12. What social media do you use?

None

13. Do you actually share information/pictures/video or are you more of a listener?

I will help anyone that asks for info. Share pics with family - friends

14. Where do you go for information about the lures (or just equipment?) that you buy? What influences your purchase most?

Internet, tackle shops(been to most) - other fisherpersons

If it's pretty - funtional - or someone say "you have to have it"

15. Are there any magazines that you read somewhat faithfully?

In Fisherman - Musky Hunter - Outdoor News - I really enjoy this site for info and suggestions.

1. How often do you fish?

At least once a week, year round. Also take several big fishing trips every year.

2. Who do you usually fish with?

My dad and 2 kids (3rd is too young).

3.Who taught you how to fish? How long?

My dad. Then I started watching fishing shows, which helped expand my knowledge.

4. What's your favorite thing about fishing?

Getting away from the normal daily grind. Talking about fishing while fishing. Seeing how excited my kids get when we get a fish in the boat.

5. While fishing, do you switch baits often to find out which lure or lure action will turn on a bite?

Overall, no.

6. Do you believe having a variety of baits in your tackle box that create different kinds of action in the water is important to having more success catching fishing?

I always rig up various baits, but don't always use them.

7. Do you get more "satisfaction" from dropping in on a spot and nailing the fish right away Or do you get more satisfaction from using a variety of baits and finding just the right one to coax the fish into biting?

I usually have go to baits and spots based on where I'm fishing. I'll switch things up based on the fish.

8. Do you think that a bait that has more action in the water will create more fish in the boat?

Depends on the fish.

9. What was the last crank bait you purchased and why? (Color, action, brand, heard it was catching fish)

Flat rap, green muddler color. Slaughtered pike and bass with this bait/color. Stores don't carry it anymore, so I had to order it online.

10. Do you have a "catch phrase" when you get a fish on? Like "Oh yea" or "fish on"-- anything crazier than that?

"there he took it!"

in-fisherman and lindner's edge has cost me hundreds of dollars in tackle! But some of the lures are pretty cool.

15. Are there any magazines that you read somewhat faithfully?

Outdoor News.

1. How often do you fish?

I don't ice fish, but in open water season 1-3 times a week.

2. Who do you usually fish with?

Many time I fish by myself.

3.Who taught you how to fish? How long?

My dad got me started, but it was only for bull heads. A good friend got me going on panfish and walleye, while others go me going on bass and muskie. I'm 62. Started when I was 6 or 7?

4. What's your favorite thing about fishing?

They are tasty!! Love the search, the find, the fight, and being outdoors!

5. While fishing, do you switch baits often to find out which lure or lure action will turn on a bite?

Of course! I try to give each presentation enough time to know if it's working or not, but will change.

6. Do you believe having a variety of baits in your tackle box that create different kinds of action in the water is important to having more success catching fishing?

You bet! Different actions, colors, size, can all make a difference.

7. Do you get more "satisfaction" from dropping in on a spot and nailing the fish right away Or do you get more satisfaction from using a variety of baits and finding just the right one to coax the fish into biting?

Both. On those days when they will attack anything; they are just plain fun! On the days when you have to work for them, it's a good feeling when you do get them figured out.

8. Do you think that a bait that has more action in the water will create more fish in the boat?

Some time yes; and some times no. There are days when fish want action, but there are days little action is better.

9. What was the last crank bait you purchased and why? (Color, action, brand, heard it was catching fish)

They were by Storm, but can't tell you which model. A purple in different shades and some with other colors on the sides. Just want to try them.

10. Do you have a "catch phrase" when you get a fish on? Like "Oh yea" or "fish on"-- anything crazier than that?

Don't know.

11. What do you think of when I say this line?--"Fisherman could always use a little more action."

You watched to many T V commercials!

12. What social media do you use?

None

13. Do you actually share information/pictures/video or are you more of a listener?

Depends. I will share info if I'm catching fish and others are not, but many think they know more than me anyways, so I let them fish. Pictures only to a few family members and friends.

14. Where do you go for information about the lures (or just equipment?) that you buy? What influences your purchase most?

Friends, product reviews, T V host, and once a guide.

15. Are there any magazines that you read somewhat faithfully?

  • Your Responses - Share & Have Fun :)

    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
