x1 on the eskimo chairs, my nephew is in the same boat and the chairs are rated for 350#. The first time I tried one I bought one of his extras, way easier for this 70 yr old to get up and bend over to get a fish at the hole.

I sit on my knees or on the open bucket and I like it like that....HOWEVER that seat on the bucket idea looks perfect for my style, got an empty flip over boat seat sitting in garage and will be putting that to use quickly now with your great ideas, thx so much!

Trust me my style is to sit on a bucket or knee fish. Sometimes you want to rest your back and this is a nice way to rest it, with very limited space take-up.

Primos Double Bull QS3 Magnum Tri-Stool

Yup thats the one!!! I would try sitting on one

I received a pair of the Primos QS3 Tri-stools in the mail the other day, they are very comfortable seats for ice fishing. Much taller and sturdier than all earlier tri-stools I've destroyed. The dual back support straps are nice.
