Updating An Older Flip Over

went to Rogers today with boys since school was out again and we checked out some of the new flip over thermal models. I was impressed with the newer spacious lines, built in storage, & thermal properties & lightness of fabric. I have a fairly old fish trap 2 man canvas version that I love the sled & have it all modded up for personal use but would love to have an updated thermal fabric on it as well with built in storage, better venting, thermal, lighter in side color, etc. Im kinda a homer when it comes to $$$ and always try to buy things on sale or just get best bang for my buck, cannot see paying $800-1,000 for a 3-4 month a year item. Has anyone ever inquired or added an updated canvas to an older sled with just updated poles, fabric, lines, etc. without getting into the seats, sled, part of the equation? Just trying to think outside the lines on an affordable upgrade option possibly.

Clam sells the canvas as a individual item. I am not familiar with your exact model but I would call clam and they can tell you what canvas will work for ya. Yes I see no reason for buying whole new house if the rest of it works good. Good luck! Clam has very good customer service. Let us know how it goes.

Another option if for some reason contacting Clam doens't work out, would be to add Reflectix to your current skin.

Did this to the roof and back in my old portable and it made a big difference in heat retention and stopped any condensation from forming on the ceiling. All told I think I had maybe $50 into it.
