b123
This weekend we were up on red, my door and biggest window ended up facing the wind due to getting stuck there and setting up, well with that extreme wind and cold all the typical moisture built up on my doors and windows froze and wouldnt let anything seal. Needless to say it was possibly the most interesting night on the ice i've had. Im just curious if anyone has any great tips on how to reduce some of that moisture on the doors and windows in a wheel house? Also the fishing was pretty good despite the extreme weather
bassNspear
crack a window. I had the same issue when the big storm came through the other night. Man it was ripping and the snow was a flying, didnt help it was 40 below. Have towels and wipe them down as much as possible. I found that if i have my curtains to the side of the window, vs having them over the window, heat can get to the windows better and allow them to dry.its a tough thing to deal with

TV BOY
Those would be slick in my house with a spearing hole to get it dark! Are they just 1/4 cedar plywood? Does the velcro attachment keep them from warping?

clayton08
Crack the window been working good for me for about 15 years. No reason for fancy things and dont have to worry about co2 poisioning either, if you ever have had that youd understand.
Dozer
Do you have a vented heater? I do in my wheelhouse and have no moisture problems at all. When I fire up the stove or oven the windows frost up instantly from the unvented burners.
JakeJ_Mn
I have an Empire DV215 direct vent in my wheelhouse. My windows are the RV style. I have 2 ceiling fans going most of the time and also made similar covers for the windows using reflectix. The fans keep air moving and I have very little moisture buildup.
