laws on ditch rideing

if i am 16 and have proof that i am 16 and have a helmet on can i ride in the ditches along side the rode.

In southern part of state you can't ride in ditches betweeen April 1 to August 1.

Wish people couldn't mow ditches in that time frame, mowing ruins more habitat in ditches than ATVs

Check the DNR's regulations. They are posted on the DNR's HSOforum.

I second that statement angler 903. I makes me mad when I see them cutting ditches before august. I always thought there was a law on that, but just not strictly enfoced.

As stated above,check the DNR web site and also call the county you plan to ride in to make sure they alow ditch riding.

Thank you for setting an example as well, always ride with a helmet.They saved my knoggen a few times!!!

Check the regs to make sure. I 'think' you have to have a drivers license to ride the ditches unless it's part of a designated trail.

Has anyone heard on Sherburne County closing the ditches? We have April 1 to August 1 resrictions but I just want to be on the safe side.
