PFUNK
Just got home from cabelas where I got a screaming deal on a new lazer pro after a price match and $60 back after spending $400 promotion. Fueled her up and had it going on the third pull. Let it idle for a few minutes and then gave it some gas. HOLY COW is this thing loud compared to my Jiffy propane! Sounds like a chainsaw. It wanted to bog down if I got to wide open throttle and the engine would kill. Opened the gas cap and tightened it again, let it sit for a minute and the next time I fired it up it was good to go wide open. I have been reading the thread on the solo motors starting hard in the cold, so I think it will be trial and error figuring out which way works best to start it. Any other words of advice with these augers? I hated to see the Jiffy propane go, but I love how light the strikemaster is in comparison. Can't wait to let it chew up some ice! FISHINGURU
Take the motor off, fire it up, set it on a 5 gallon bucket and burn through a tank of gas or two.
