Hummingbird ICE 45 Problem

I have a problem with my ICE 45. I took it out yesterday for the first time this year and it gave me some problems. When I turn it on, and switch it to the first click (level A on the switch), it is fine. I can't get it to read anything after that (x1, x2, etc.) Is this the transducer itself doing it and I need a new one, or is it the whole unit itself? I don't really want to send it in right now since I have a trip book to LOW in 2 weeks and I don't know if I can get it back in time. Can someone help?

What do you mean by you can't read anything? Does it go completely blank? Or you just can't see your jig or the bottom? I'd first try a different battery first, a lot of issues can arise from a bad battery. If it works fine on one setting then I doubt it's the transducer. That said if that doesn't work you may need to send it in. My first hummingbird had issues out of the box and my second only worked for two weeks before going dead so I don't have much confidence in their units. Mine was a full two weeks to get it fixed so I just bought a different flasher in the interim and sold it off when I got it back.

I been thru 2 warranted units and 1 transducer in 2yrs with my humm 45. It now just sits on the shelf as i use my old faithful fl8. Had it with hummingbird, mine will not work on the auto mode and when hole hopping it wont read untill i turn it off and back on couple times...worst investment ever!

I just sent my ice 45 into hummingbird. They stated they have a 3-5 day turn around once they receive it. I'm done with hummingbird as soon as I get mine back I'm selling it for I already purchased an fl 18. There is a thread going on the ice 45 in the ice fishing forum.
