Interference Question

So I have a Humminbird 55 and was thinking about getting the 12yr old something of his own to stare at while out on the ice and I would like to know what out there is going to interfere the least with one another. He would really like a camera but I'm not a fan with setting it up and I hate the blip it puts out on my flasher.

Thought please.

Thank you.

I own an LX5 and my 2 fishing buddies, one has an FL8 and the other a Humminbird55...we'll have all 3 in the same house with little to no issues.

I find that switching my LX5 to "narrow beam" helps the other guys out.

I fished with a buddy and he had the LX-7 and my flasher seemed to weaken and show distortion.

I should add that I dont want to break the bank on a 1st time flasher for him. Im basically thinking FL-8 or LX-3 or something like that around $175-250.

If you know of anybody looking to part with one please PM me.

I can only go with my personal experience over the last couple years...and like i said, we'll have LX5, FL-8slt and Bird55 all in the same house (Eskimo Fatfish) with little to no problems at all.

I'm sure others might say otherwise...Once in a great while we'll have to spend a minute or two tweeking the IR but it has never been an issue.

ive used all kinds of flashers side by side. i think there is alot of factors on interfearance.

1.how close are the flashers

2.whats the cone angle of each?

3.whats the water depth?

4.whats the gain on?

they all get some kind of interfearance and after playing with the settings give it a few minutes they usually settle down.

Ill add bottom content, hard or soft bottom will factor in too.
