looking for a nice place to take my dad lake trout fishing this ice season..looking at renting a fish house and cabin for 2 days maybe even a sleeper if they have them??? any suggestions??? we want to stay in the us so Canada is out.

I have a fish house for rent up here in Ely, MN. It will be on Burntside Lake for most of the winter. Check out: elyfishhouserental. you can find Ely Fish House Rental on fb too.

Yeah, burntside lake might be the only lake in the state where you can rent a shack for lakers

While they don't offer ice houses, gunflint pines resort and gunflint lodge are nice places. And gunflint lake is pretty accessible as far as lake trout lakes go.

Smitty's on Snowbank rents day houses. But its more of a "rustic" resort. Great folks that own it.

And I think there are a couple guys doing rentals on Burtnside.
