Idea for striker suit, what's your opinion?

I've been doing some research on different ice suits because my old ice armor is worn out, from reviews I've read I've come to the conclusion a striker suit is the way to go. I started looking at their suits and I see they have an all camo suit with duck blind camo. I do a lot of duck hunting and instantly thought I found my suit, until I realized that it only has a warmth rating of a 5 out of 10, because it's a duck hunting suit and your not going to duck hunt in sub zero temps.

I then noticed they have their climate suit which has a removable liner, this gives the suit a warmth rating of 4 without the liner and a rating of 10 with the liner. Wouldn't it make sense to have the duck blind suit just like the climate with a removable liner? Take the liner out for duck hunting and ice fishing in warmer temps or use it as a cold temp rain suit, then zip the liner in for ice fishing or any outdoor activity in cold temps.

I could justify spending the money on a suit like this, If I buy a climate it's just an ice fishing suit, if I buy the duck blind suit it's just a hunting suit, if they could combine the two you can do anything in the suit and you don't look like a corporate sponser on the ice either. I'm trying to contact striker and want to see what other people think, would you buy a full camo duck blind suit if you could remove a liner based on weather so you could use it from warm temps to sub zero temps, hunting and fishing?

I have to layer under my ice armor now and I'm just not impressed with the warmth, I'd rather have a suit I know I'm going to be warm in at subzero temps but could zip a liner out in milder temps, to have an all season hunt and fish suit like this, maybe even have two liners that zip in to cover a wider range of temps just seems like a no brainer.

I couldn't hunt in that suit, not enough camo and it still has the reflective piping on it. I understand what suits they offer.

I'm trying to see what people's opinions are on an all camo suit in the climate platform so you can remove the liner or liners based on the weather conditions from a cool rain storm to subzero ice fishing.

Am I the only one this makes sense too? All my friends agree and they normally wouldn't drop 400-500 dollars on a suit but they agreed they would if they could have a multi season hunting and fishing suit.

We talked about it last year and I am sure at some point it may happen. FYI I have hunted in my climate camo suit with the piping.....unless your standing in a field with 100 percent sunlight, There isnt any need to worry about it.

Steve Foss ran the duckblind camo suit in -20 in ely last year guiding lakers and said he was warm the whole time.

I think they could really have hands down the number one suit on the market if they could come up with a suit with 1 or even 2 removable layers that is all camo no logos and floats it has everything an outdoorsman could want. I had a friend say this before I even mentioned it that in the duck blind suit you don't look like a walking billboard like all the other suits on the market.

Right now you are having to choose between features, why not have a suit that has it all?

If it was my company I wouldn't be talking about it I would be developing it. But maybe the owner doesn't hunt and fish and see the real need for a suit like this, not everyone can buy a few suits to match all their needs.

We already have it! The Striker DuckBlind Sureflote Jacket and Bibs are all camo with no reflective. This combo has flotation, is waterproof/breathable, has venting and adjustable inseam, snakeskin knees, etc. This suit has 50g Thermadex insulation, which, included with the effective warmth of the flotation liner, is equivalent to a 200g insulation suit! We designed this to be adequate down to maybe zero (note that this suit has more insulating value than the AA suit and many Ice Armor suits). Then we have the DB Performance Hoody (purchase separately) which can be worn as a liner. The DB hoody is lighter than our SI Performance Hoody so the total package is just about as warm as the Climate. Hoody does not zip in to the jacket because of the hood. Combined, this would be about the same warmth as the Climate Jacket. As for the bibs, we will have the new Duck Blind Performance Pant available in late January 2014. So there you have it!
