Been on a few of the local lakes and ice is walkable however lots of snow and slush. Still need to take precautionary measures and be safe. And make no mistake I am not encouraging early ice venturing by any means. If you do go out bring a friend maybe some rope lifejacket ice pics etc. Justin case heck breaks loose might save life. On a sidenote this cold front is really messing up fishing success it's really really tough bite at this time but good luck and again be safe;)
