enclosed wheel house awning

Has anybody ever tried making an enclosed wheel house awning similar to the Lodge? It looks like a good way to add additional room to my 6.5 by 14 for fishing, storage, and bathroom. My thoughts are 10x10 that attaches to the door side of the fish house. Kind of like a hub attached to a house.

Check out Canvas Craft they are the suppliers for Lodge I believe, or have a similar setup.

I will post pictures when I am done. I have the material and an idea. Very dangerous!!! If it works I could add significant space without the weight and cost. Time will tell.
