tip_upclyma
Hey all.Last season I lost the screw that holds the power head to my blade. Does anyone know what this screw is called, and where I can get a replacement? I have an older Jiffy 70 Series. I also noticed that Jiffy offers a EZ Connect Collar Adapter...it looks sweet, but once again I don't know if the adapter would come with that screw...so I am still in the same boat to get my auger rolling. Thanks for any assistance regarding this...I want to punch some holes this weekend! Hawg
Just use a bolt. If you want the allen screw I bet Ace Hardware has one. New augers used to come with one, if you know anyone with 2 augers they would have one also. Or call Feldmann(Jiffy)
tip_upclyma
Thanks Hawg. By chance does anyone know the size of the screw I need? I am hoping to swing by Ace at luch...and if someone knows size, it would save me a trip home first. THANKS AGAIN, this HSOforum ROCKS! Hawg
Try a bolt at home regardless of length and just take it with you.
N8D
i would just put a bolt in there, or if it matters to you could probably order one from Jiffy
tip_upclyma
Thanks for the advise guys...greatly appreciated! I was just going to hand auger this weekend...but with this cold snap I am guessing that the 5-6"s of ice + the 2-3 inches of slush on top = 9-10"s to drill...and I am too fat and old to hand auger through 10"s of ice
WalleyeChaser
Buy a heavy duty hitch pin or shear pin that will fit through the hole. I have 2 different bit sizes that I switch out and that's what I have used with no issues. In either on you choose get 2. It saves frustration when you are out on the ice and have no eay to drill!
