Honda strikemaster question(s)

First, does anyone know if the gearing is different between the 8" and the 10"? Im looking to use last years model w a 10" bit.

Second, would the chipper bit cause any more stress than the lazer bit? My 10" is chipper.

I would not run a chipper on that powerhead... They are way more aggressive then a dual blade lazer. Don't do it.

You can run a 10" lazer blade on it but I wouldnt do the chipper. The Honda performed well last year with a 10" in trials. Myself Im running the 8" and just over lap holes if I think I need to have a biger hole. It winds up looking like a big 8 and works great for keeping ducers out of the way and getting bigger fish turned in the hole.

I personally think the gear box can handle a 10" chipper because the Big Volt has a 40 amp motor and puts out a ton of torque and it works just fine. But on the same note I don't think it would be an enjoyable drilling experience. I remember reading about a guy that did it last season to his honda and he said it really wore him out in just a few holes.

It's not last years 8" in new packaging, StrikeMaster revamped the throttle so you now have more throw in it and a few other small improvements
