thatsawalleye
Just thought I would start a thread on what people are hearing for the best Black Friday deals for ice fishing equipment.

Morgs
Cabelas has some good deals on some Garmin's too. I believe they are door busters. Do a google search for black Friday 2013, and you'll get a few options for Gander, Cabelas and Bass Pro.

thatsawalleye
Wouldn't mind picking up that clam voyager, the old eskimo is starting to look pretty beat up
Bureaucrat
I'd steer clear of Cabelas for the first hour. The store in Mitchell has 300 round bricks of .22LR ammo on sale. I have to imagine that will be as close to an all out zombie apocalypse as we'll ever get. Short of the real thing that is.

muskie hunter
Black Friday is over rated ice fishing shows, and spring clearence is the way to go.
Lusid
Unfortunately, this is the worst time to buy ice fishing gear. You always want to wait for the off-season to stock up OR right after their inventory is getting low and they are not stocking the shelves. fishwater
American Legacy Fishing has a black friday deal going, you can get 15% off black betty ice reels (or anything). Christmas15 @ checkout
PurpleFloyd
I have to imagine that will be as close to an all out zombie apocalypse as we'll ever get. I picked up a Lowrance Elite 5 Ice Machine for 479 floating around in the Bay of E with free delivery.

Yep, and then you get to pick from the "runts of the litter"! Any choice colors, sizes etc will be long gone. Heck some colors and sizes of certain lures become tough to find 2 weeks after they first stock the shelves! Most of the most popular brands/models of fish houses will be sold long before the off season as well. fish_eat_sleep
And you won't get to use your runt of the litter till NEXT YEAR! Its sad enough packing up for the season. putting away NEW stuff thats not even the right color or size is no fun.I know ganders ad is out, leaked or whatever they call it but from history i know they throw an ice fishing insert into the ad before distribution on thanksgiving day. it hasn't appeared online in past years but shows up in the paper. Anyone else notice this trend?

Anyone else notice this trend? Well I noticed their Black Friday ad literally didn't have a single ice fishing thing in it which I thought was odd. deerminator
I second the runt of the litter. I picked up my big Otter sled from FF last year in January and it was about the last decent one they had left. You can get deals but its on odds and ends. The good stuff is on sale this next month.
