arctic_scrap1
I want to buy a new trailer soon but I'm not sure what I want. I'm looking for something that I can easily load an atv or long track snowmobile and a 3 man flip over. I'd also like to be able pull double duty and haul junk and other stuff with it, removable sides maybe?. Anyone have some suggestions? Hobey
I have an enclosed travel trailer with a ramp. I can leave everything loaded in the trailer and all I need to do is put the trailer on my truck's hitch to go. I also take several trips a year that take 4+ hours and the enclosed trailer keeps the salt and ice off your machine. I would never go back to a ATV or utility trailer for these reasons. My trailer is a 12 footer with a V nose which almost adds two feet. Plenty of room for two shacks and a four wheeler. arctic_scrap1
I'd like to go the enclosed route and I actually looked at one but hauling other things like construction leftovers, yard cleanup, and other stuff would make it difficult. I just use a tarp.
dfeste
I've got a 5' x 14' utility made by PJ. It works fine for hauling a tracked atv along with my lodge sized Canvas Craft house. They offer options as far as the height of the sides so that may be a good fit for you. They are removable. It's only a couple of years old so I'm not sure about the longevity of it yet. Ryan_V
4 words... al-u-min-um! I've been through a few trailers made of iron/ steel. they corrode very quickly. I have a 6 1/2 x 12 aluminum with a ramp, best trailer I've owned. almost no maintenance. if u drive on salty roads for a long trip with a wheeler, a 2 minute stop at the car wash will do, but I have never had a problem, and I haul my wheeler to mille lacs a few times over the winter. my trailer has stake pockets for extra sides if you want to buy or make some. aluminum trailers are also much lighter. yes, enclosed would be nice, but I can't afford that for the uses I have for a trailer. good luck!
