Being without a boat i was lucky to get out muskie fishing more then once or twice a year, i finally took the plunge and bought a boat this summer. Still considering myself an amateur muskie fisherman i took every outing as a learning experience. After being skunked all year i finally connected today. Got this guy on my first cast with a bulldawg, he followed it right to the boat and finally bite after about 4 or 5 figure 8s. Feels great to get that monkey off my back.

Good to hear man! Got my first boat this year as well! Can't seem to stick a musky in it. Just about everyone else's though for some reason.

It isn't fair Mr. Klean, 2nd cast of the year opening day and I'm releasing a near 40 pounder. Way to stick to it and that's a nice fish, no fish can beat up a guy mentally like a musky can, keep at it and good luck if you can squeeze out 1 last run or 2.
