Howling for Wolves is T Wolves Non-Profit of the Game

Howling for Wolves is the non-profit of the game tonight. They will get a 30 second public service announcement at the game encouraging people to stop by the booth that they will have there.

I, for one, can not support an organization who supports a group of people whose goal is to take away my rights as a hunter. If you think it is only wolf hunting that the group is opposed to, you had better think again. The majority of their members want all hunting banned.

Just curious what other people think about this?

A group leading the opposition to wolf hunting and trapping in Minnesota will have a special presence at Target Center when the Minnesota Timberwolves host the Orlando Magic in their home opener.

Howling for Wolves has been designated the Timberwolves' "nonprofit of the game" for Wednesday night's matchup. The group's supporters will sit in special sections, and a 30-second public service announcement will encourage fans to visit the group's booth and sign a petition to stop the upcoming wolf season, which begins Nov. 9.

It costs $2,000 to get designated a Timberwolves nonprofit of the game. Benefits include 100 tickets. Timberwolves spokesman Brad Ruiter says a wide variety of groups have signed up to do it over the years, and it does not constitute a team endorsement of their views.

Looks like a few media outlets got ahold of it. I first heard about it last Friday, posted on here about it yesterday. I don't like it much. Do you suppose they'd take $2,000 from a non-profit group of skinheads? Somebody dropped the ball on this one.
