spotty
I am planning on hitting up one of the ice show this year (can't go to both because of busy schedule) and am wondering where you think the better deals are. I have been to the St Paul show and liked the experience. Thanks in advance
JohnMickish
Well, the St Paul so is going to have everything. Going to have the most vendors with the most competition. The show in Blaine is going to be in its second year and I'm sure it's going to be bigger this year there's not going to be the St Paul show. Parking is free up north so that saves a few bucks. I think if you are going to be purchasing one of the major items that will be carried by everyone it doesn't matter which show you go to. DTro
The "deals" are over rated no matter where you go. Sure you can probably get "show specials" that you might not normally see at a retailer (although some of the sales I've seen at retailers will rival show specials). From New Prague you are probably looking at almost forty bucks just to get in the door at St Paul (gas/ticket/parking).Having said that, I don't think there is much comparison as to which show is bigger and better. St Paul wins that one hands down.
amateurfishing
St Paul show is great for a big show, has everything. you will have to put some cash up to get in the door, then plus food/drink after u r in. I did love looking around the one year I went, but it was PACKED, shoulder to shoulder and lines everywhere.I was expecting MUCH better deals. I did go specifically to purchase a strikemaster suit (which I did & am very happy with)but all the talk of "show specials" is not my cup if tea and I think its a joke. 10% off is the "norm" across the board and they do that just to get people to buy tickets to get in the door and that is only if you are willing to "haggle" from vendor to vendor and wait in lines to do it. Not my cup of tea, I see bigger and better deals on other online sites. I know nothing about the Blaine show but am hoping to try that one this year since it is closer to home, hopefully less crowded.
