Re-hydrating turkey fan to mount?

I would mix up a smaller amount of ammonia and water and set the base of the fan in a pail and let it soak. Once it is softer, scrape of all the yellow fat and any muscle and you should be good to go.

When you have it all cleaned up, and dried, use some borax on the base and that should elimanate any bug issues. You can buy borax at the grocery store.

Put it on a piece of cardboard and use pins to pin it in place and let it dry.

I would guess one could google it and find numerous pages of solutions also.
