Was in my treestand bowhunting deer this weekend and caught sight of turkeys about 60+ yards away. Lots of foliage still in the way, but could still make out beards on several of the birds. I slowly reached for my bow and the whole flock was instantly running up the hill away from me. frown 60+ yards, with lots of brush between us and STILL they caught my movement.

I knew they were going to roost nearby and early the next morning that was confirmed. It sounded like a great spring morning, all these birds were gobbling like crazy. At least 6 or 8 different birds sounding off. Couldn't help but smile while listening to them.

Also saw several flocks while driving in and out of my hunting area, including one large group of nice toms. Should be a great spring season, can hardly wait.
