RiverChuckNorris
Well, the itch has officially started and is fast becoming a rash. I had my first (that I remember) full-scale, ice fishing dream last night. Woke up in a sweat and was unable to go back to sleep. We were on a large, unfamiliar body of water, set up away from others on the edge of some cabbage near a drop that went to 60 fow. We had just reeled up our second PIG perch and I woke up (unfortunately).I'm now finding myself combing HSO at work today and thinking about pulling the ice castle out of storage this weekend so I can clean/prep/fill lp/etc. (as if that will make the season get here sooner or the itch subside).Surely I'm not the only one suffering from such trama? ctisdell
I have been prepping the castle for 3 months, I comb the aisles in every store that could have ice gear. Wait till you start searching the farmers almanac trying to get an idea of when it will freeze.
Brad B
hopefully your dream becomes reality soon. I hear they are talking 40's for next week and possible snow on Tuesday. Granted if it does snow it won't stay but it will help cool things down and get us in the right direction.
DLD24
As long as we don't get snow like South Dakota haha, that would suck...I'm hoping for November 28th to be on the ice, same as last year...
ice_medic
I feel your pain about the ice. I have been foaming at the mouth since bow season started. I was hoping that bow hunting would help calm the itch down but to no avail it has not. I just find myself in the stand or blind dreaming about being outh there on that hard water. I am going on a huntng trip this weekend and the lows are supposed to be in the low 40's during the nights and that is not going to help at all either. I am wishfully thinking here and hoping to be on the ice come the week before thanksgiving
